Rollover Prevention

-Vehicle: Is your vehicle right for the load terrain & route?

-Seatbelts: All occupants are belted prior to ANY movement?

-Driver: Are you comfortable operating both the vehicle & in the travel & work environment/terrain?

-Loads: High center of gravity loads are lowered or driving speed slows to reduce  gravity forces during movement?

-Inspection: I inspected my vehicle & feel safe to drive?

-Maintenance: The vehicle  is in a safe & legal condition to drive?

-Emergency Equipment: I have what I need if adverse weather occurs (chains, first aid kit, fire extinguisher, triangles, weather specific gear)?

-Tailboard: I have participated in a tailboard referencing the hazards of the day?

-Journey Management: I have planned route & have considered how the vehicle & load are impacted by the chosen route. Caravan group travel has been discussed as an option.

-Weather: I looked at the weather? (looked outside or at a forecast)

-Load: My load is secure in accordance with DOT expectations?

-Speed: I will drive for the conditions at a safe speed including a safe following distance from others?

-Responding to an emergency: Have steer in the desired direction of travel. Brake early when approaching obstacles. Call for help if stuck or disabled.
